The City of Bellevue strives to ensure that its programs and facilities, including this website (Communications style guide), are accessible to all residents. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), efforts are made to accommodate people with disabilities. In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, city offers the same services and programs to all, regardless of race, color, income, national origin or English proficiency.

People with disabilities can make a request for accessibility or accommodation. Bellevue has established a process for handling accessibility requests and grievances. Enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act is the responsibility of the U. S. Department of Justice.

Title VI Accessibility

People who have trouble speaking or understanding English can request interpreters for City Council meetings and other city-sponsored events, public meetings or hearings. Contact the city staff listed with the event.

Compliance: The City of Bellevue assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any City of Bellevue program or activity.

Accessibility Request Form

This form allows residents and businesses to submit accessibility requests related to a wide variety of issues, including curb ramps, sidewalk obstructions and access to buildings, facilities and programs. The form will be reviewed by the ADA Title VI program administrator and a response will be provided via email. (To report a situation that may endanger pedestrians or bicyclists, please call the Transportation Department's maintenance hotline at 425-452-7840)
